In March 2007, the Mobile Laboratory was contacted by a major environmental firm to provide fast, defensible analytical data in an expedited situation.
After coordination with the client and site personnel, it was determined that rapid analytical results would significantly support ongoing remediation efforts.
The laboratory arrived on-site on March 11, 2007 and was operational within days. During the initial 2½ week phase, 194 VOC samples were analyzed.
Due to the effectiveness of on-site analysis, the project expanded into a long-term deployment. A semi-permanent lab setup was established.
Over 37 weeks, the lab analyzed 2,811 VOC samples and 635 PCB samples, significantly accelerating remediation progress.
In January 2007, the Mobile Laboratory team was mobilized to provide emergency analytical support following a train derailment.
Within hours, additional equipment was deployed and the lab was operational to meet urgent project demands.
